How I Work
The most important thing for me is that my subject is at ease, so a relaxed approach is essential. I photograph on location, be that someone’s home, office, workshop or out in the great outdoors, and use elements of nature, architecture or an interior together with natural light to create images that we will be proud of.
FAMILIES: Photographing children and their families has always been my passion and I love being able to create treasured images that children will grow up with. I’m delighted to still be working with the same families that I first met when I started out on this venture 12 years ago.
BUSINESS PORTRAITS: With a background in advertising, I fully appreciate the importance of strong branding, whatever business you happen to be in, and that includes your personal brand. Hence the importance of having a good up to date portrait that you’re pleased with, as well as a set of images that tell the story of the business .
I studied History of Art & Italian at Edinburgh University before working in advertising at Leo Burnett London for ten years. I’ve been photographing children since having my own in 2005 and in 2015 I achieved my Licentiateship with the British Institute of Professional Photography.
I now live in North London with my husband and three boys.
